Q: When will I receive my membership kit?
A: As soon as you become
a new member - and every time you renew - you will receive a Membership Kit.
The kit includes your membership card, information on member benefits, and an
opportunity to complete or update your member profile. Kits are sent via
first-class mail. Expect to receive yours within two to three weeks of placing
Q: Can I cancel my membership?
A: Your annual
membership fee is fully refundable if you cancel within one month of your
payment date. If you cancel after that date, WIN is not refundable.
Q: Can Executive Assistants join? Can a
non-business owner join? I want to start a business, can I join?
A: We welcome
members from all industries and across all job titles.
Q: What mentoring opportunities do you provide?
A: To investigate local
mentoring opportunities, contact your local director or regional coordinator.
Other mentoring resources include the U.S. Small Business
Administration Women in Business website and Women Unlimited website.
Q: Can I submit an article for the newsletter?
A: WIN considers
submissions from active WIN members for publication in our bi-weekly
e-newsletter. If you would like to submit an event for consideration in the
WIN newsletter, please send your article to the Newsletter
Q: How do I become a speaker at an event?
A: WIN typically invites
women who are authors and/or have high level corporate business experience to
speak at our breakfasts and as keynotes at our conferences. We often invite
successful entrepreneurs with proven track records of presenting to groups to
give workshop presentations at our conference.
